What types of hormone therapy do you offer?
We offer clinician-led HRT for menopause and perimenopause (oestrogen, progesterone, and combined HRT), testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for clinically confirmed low testosterone, thyroid hormone therapy with levothyroxine, and transdermal oestrogen options such as Estrogel, patches, and guidance on implants. Your clinician will recommend the most appropriate option for you.
Do I need a blood test before starting?
For TRT and thyroid treatment, up-to-date blood tests are required so your clinician can confirm the diagnosis and prescribe safely. For HRT, a diagnosis is often made on your symptoms, though blood tests may be advised in some cases. If you need testing, we can arrange it as part of your care.
Is HRT safe?
Where clinically appropriate, prescriptions are typically issued within minutes of your consultation and can be collected from any pharmacy the same day, or delivered to your door within 24 hours. Fit notes and referral letters, where issued, are sent digitally during or shortly after your consultation.
How is my treatment monitored?
Hormone therapy is reviewed regularly. TRT and thyroid treatment involve periodic blood tests and dose adjustments to keep levels in the right range, and HRT is reviewed to check your symptoms and tolerability. Your clinician will agree a monitoring schedule with you and adjust treatment as needed.
Can you continue or take over my existing hormone treatment?
Yes. If you are already on HRT, TRT, or thyroid medication, our clinicians can review your treatment and recent blood results and, where appropriate, continue your prescriptions and ongoing monitoring — without restarting your journey. Please have your current medication details and any recent results to hand.
Will my NHS GP be informed?
With your consent, we share consultation notes with your registered NHS GP so your records stay up to date and your care is coordinated. Where appropriate, we can also support shared care arrangements for ongoing prescribing.
How quickly can I be seen and get a prescription?
We offer same-day consultations, 365 days a year. Where treatment is clinically appropriate, prescriptions are typically issued within minutes and can be collected from any of 6,000+ UK pharmacies the same day, or delivered to your door within 24 hours.
What if hormone therapy isn't right for me?
If your clinician decides hormone therapy is not clinically appropriate, they will explain why and advise on the best next steps, which may include further investigation, alternative treatment, or a referral. The consultation fee covers the clinical assessment itself.
