Are there any hidden fees or extra charges?
A video consultation is £49. At booking, we pre-authorise £49 on your card to secure your appointment — this is not a charge; payment is taken when your consultation is delivered. If a prescription, fit note, or referral letter is issued during your consultation, a separate £19.99 administration fee is taken before the document is issued. Every fee is shown clearly before you pay.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay. All transactions are processed securely with 256-bit encryption.
What happens if no prescription or fit note is issued?
Your consultation fee covers the clinical assessment itself. If the clinician determines that a prescription, fit note, or referral is not clinically appropriate, they will explain why and advise you on the best next steps. The consultation fee still applies as it covers the clinician's time and expertise.
Is the cost of medication included?
Your consultation fee covers the clinical assessment and the issuance of an electronic prescription. The cost of the medication itself is separate and paid at the pharmacy when you collect, just as with an NHS prescription. For the Weight Loss Programme, medication is included in the monthly fee.
Do you accept health insurance?
We don't currently bill insurance providers directly, but many private health insurance companies will reimburse you for the cost of private GP consultations. We provide a detailed receipt for every consultation that you can submit to your insurer. We recommend checking with your provider before booking.
Can I get a refund if I cancel?
If you cancel your appointment more than 2 hours before your scheduled time, you will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 2 hours of the appointment time are non-refundable. If you experience a technical issue that prevents your consultation, please contact our patient care team and we will arrange a replacement appointment or refund.
Is a repeat prescription cheaper because there's no video call?
Yes. Once you've had an initial consultation (£49), subsequent repeat prescriptions are £19.99 because they involve a quick clinical safety screen rather than a full video consultation. This is suitable for patients who are already established on a medication and simply need it reissued. If a clinician determines that a full consultation is needed, you will be advised before any additional charges apply.
Do I need a subscription or membership?
Most of our services are pay-as-you-go — you simply pay for what you need, when you need it. Some programmes, such as the Weight Loss Programme, involve a monthly plan to cover ongoing clinician support, medication, and delivery. Full pricing details are always shown before you commit.
How does the Weight Loss Programme pricing work?
The Weight Loss Programme starts from £98.99 per month and includes your clinician assessment, your prescription and medication where clinically appropriate, ongoing monthly check-ins, dose adjustments, and free home delivery. There are no additional charges. The price varies depending on the medication and dosage prescribed by your clinician.
