What is a repeat prescription?
A repeat prescription is a prescription for medication you're already taking on an ongoing basis — such as blood pressure tablets, inhalers, or contraception. Instead of seeing a GP each time, a clinician reviews your request and re-issues the prescription.
Do I need a video consultation for a repeat?
No. Repeat prescriptions are processed via our online form — no video or phone call is needed. A licensed clinician reviews your request, checks your medical history, and issues the prescription if appropriate. If they need clarification, they'll contact you directly.
How quickly will I receive my medication?
Most repeat prescriptions are reviewed within a few hours and, where clinically appropriate, approved the same day. If you choose home delivery, medication arrives within 24 hours. If you choose pharmacy collection, it's usually ready same day — you can collect from any of 6,000+ pharmacies including Boots, Lloyds, and Superdrug.
Is the medication genuine?
Yes. All medication is dispensed by a GPhC-registered UK pharmacy using genuine, UK-licensed stock. We never use grey market imports or non-UK suppliers. Every medication comes with full batch tracking and patient information leaflets.
What medications can I order?
We can fulfil most repeat prescriptions for ongoing conditions — including blood pressure, mental health, asthma, diabetes, thyroid, contraception, skin conditions, and more. Controlled drugs (such as strong opioids and benzodiazepines) cannot be prescribed or repeated through the Platform, and medications requiring specialist monitoring will need an appropriate specialist or in-person service. A clinician reviews every request and will advise if your medication is not suitable for a remote repeat.
Do I need to have been prescribed this medication before?
Yes. Our repeat prescription service is for medications you're already taking. If you need a new prescription for a condition you haven't been treated for, you'll need a video consultation (£49) where a clinician can assess you and prescribe if appropriate.
Will my NHS GP be informed?
With your consent, we can share prescription details with your registered NHS GP to keep your medical records coordinated. This is optional and entirely your choice.
How much does it cost?
Repeat prescriptions are £19.99 per prescription, which covers the clinician review and dispensing. Home delivery is an optional extra at £4.99. Pharmacy collection is free. There are no hidden fees or subscription requirements.
Can I order repeats for someone else (e.g. a family member)?
Yes, provided you have their consent and can provide accurate information about their medication, dosage, and medical history. The clinician may contact the patient directly if any clarification is needed.
